|---|---|---|
| INTERNET | Connects the app to official servers for login, data synchronization, report upload, delivery status updates, and monitoring. | When the app communicates with the backend system. |
| VIBRATE | Provides vibration feedback for alerts, notifications, scanning/status actions, or important operational prompts. | Only for app alerts and user interaction feedback. |
| CAMERA | Allows authorized users to capture proof of delivery, textbook handover photos, receipts, stock images, or discrepancy evidence. | Only when the user opens a camera-based feature and captures an image. |
| READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE | Allows image selection from device storage on older Android versions for uploading delivery proof or official evidence. | Only after user action to select/upload a file, subject to Android version support. |
| READ_MEDIA_IMAGES | Allows image selection from the device media library on Android 13+ for uploading proof of delivery, receipt images, or stock verification photos. | Only after user action to select/upload relevant official images. |

| FOREGROUND_SERVICE | Runs an active foreground service for operational tasks such as ongoing tracking or synchronization. | When an active task requires a visible ongoing notification. |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION | Runs a foreground service specifically for continuous location tracking during active delivery operations. | During authorized active location-tracking sessions with a visible notification. |
| WAKE_LOCK | Helps prevent the device from sleeping during critical active tracking, upload, or synchronization operations. | Only while required to maintain active delivery tracking or reliable data upload. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Sends delivery assignments, tracking status, foreground-service alerts, operational reminders, and important app notifications. | Only after notification permission is granted where required by Android. |
| RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Allows the app to restore required operational reminders, sync jobs, or active authorized tracking state after the device restarts. | Only after device reboot and only for official app operations that need to resume. |
The application does not use these permissions for advertising, personal profiling, unrelated surveillance, or commercial sale of user data.
5. Location Data and Background Location Use
Location data is used to support the core function of textbook delivery tracking. This includes confirming delivery movement, identifying route progress, verifying delivery points, detecting delays, and supporting official monitoring by authorized authorities.
The application may collect location data while the app is open, while it is running in the foreground, and, where permitted, while it is running in the background during an authorized delivery operation. Background location is required to prevent interruption of delivery tracking when the user switches apps, locks the screen, or the device remains active during a delivery route.
Background location is used only for official textbook distribution tracking and only for authorized users assigned to delivery or monitoring duties. The app displays relevant notices/notifications when active tracking is running, subject to Android system behavior.
Location data is not used for advertising, user profiling, or sale to third parties.
6. Camera, Photos, and Media Access
Camera and image permissions are used to allow authorized users to capture or upload official proof related to textbook distribution, including delivery handover photos, signed receipts, stock verification images, damaged/shortage evidence, and discrepancy reports.
The application does not access photos or media files unrelated to the user-selected official upload process. Media access is limited to user-initiated actions, such as capturing a new image or selecting an existing image for upload as delivery proof.
7. Notifications and Foreground Services
The application may send notifications for delivery assignments, tracking status, upload/sync status, important administrative alerts, and active foreground-service tracking notifications. Notifications are used only for official application functionality.
Foreground services are used when the app must continue important operational tasks such as active delivery tracking or reliable synchronization. A visible system notification may be shown while such service is active.
